About The Position

The Accounts Receivable Assistant supports payment processing, maintains customer accounts, and assists with collections to ensure accurate and timely receivables. If you are detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role offers the opportunity to support a key function within the business while building strong accounting and customer service skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous Accounts Receivable experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills for both internal teams and customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Accurately apply Accounts Receivable payments (lockboxes, ACH/wires, and credit cards) and process daily credit card transactions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information through consistent data entry
  • Contact customers regarding skipped invoices, discrepancies, and past-due balances to support timely resolution
  • Monitor aged receivables and assist with collections to ensure payment within terms
  • Provide backup support for the Accounts Receivable team and assist with cross-training as needed
  • Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal teams and customers
  • Support month-end close activities and other accounting tasks as needed
