About The Position

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to support incoming revenue by ensuring invoices are accurate, payments are applied promptly, and outstanding balances are resolved professionally. This role requires strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and communication skills to maintain positive customer relationships throughout billing and collection activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable or general accounting required.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of financial data without compromising accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, and Google Workspace.
  • Systems Proficiency: Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, ADP, and Microsoft Access.
  • Core Competencies: High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, professional persistence, negotiation, customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Core values: Accountability, Collaboration, and Empowerment (ACE).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and distribute accurate invoices and credit memos in a timely manner.
  • Post daily deposits, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers, and apply them accurately to the correct accounts.
  • Monitor aging reports and contact customers by phone and email regarding past-due balances.
  • Act as the primary contact for billing inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and provide requested documentation such as W-9s and statements.
  • Reconcile the accounts-receivable ledger to ensure all payments are properly accounted for and posted.
  • Prepare weekly aging summaries and assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Perform scheduled audits to help ensure business activities comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Apply the basic accounting equation to support balance-sheet accuracy and protect the company's liquidity and cash-flow health.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
