About The Position

ES3 is seeking an Entry Level Accounts Receivable Analyst for their corporate office in downtown San Diego. This role involves troubleshooting and tracking outstanding payments, supporting the senior financial team with timely reporting of accounting data, verifying account discrepancies, using spreadsheets for invoicing, and performing basic accounting analysis. The position also provides program management support under the supervision of Executive Accounting staff. The ideal candidate must be adaptable to changing priorities, willing to meet deadlines, and able to work off-hours if necessary. Requirements

  • Experience with accounting and or project management activities preferably with government contractor
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good analytical and organizational skills
  • Detail Oriented
  • Team player with ability to talk to others to convey information effectively and professionally both in writing and speech
  • Work independently and with team members to accomplish goals in high pressure, time sensitive environment.
  • Ability to shift gears quickly, adapt to changing priorities on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
  • Knowledge and ability to use basic mathematics and statistics.
  • Knowledge, skill and ability in using Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge, skill and ability in use of Quickbooks Pro.
  • Must be self-motivated and have ability to follow directions without constant supervision.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and high integrity.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with WAWF and DoD billing process
  • College experience preferred
  • 0-2 years of previous work experience where transferrable skills can be optimized

Responsibilities

  • Support preparation of Accounts Receivable invoices to Government customers
  • Work in compliance with company procedure and DOD billing protocols.
  • Work with suppliers to track and report on deliveries, quality acceptance, receiving reports and invoicing.
  • Navigate ERP system for document control tasks
  • Research and resolve non-routine order challenges
  • Ensure integrity of system updates for appropriate shipping delivery, acceptance and payment status
  • Must be able to work independently, time manage and accomplish goals in high pressure, time sensitive environment
  • Able to shift gears quickly and re-prioritize responsibilities on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
  • Research and resolve any outstanding items on a weekly basis.
  • Supports any other accounting, reporting and Ad Hoc assignments as needed
  • Provide frequent review of bookkeeping activities as it pertains to ES3 PLG which includes processing purchase/change orders, revenue recognition, progress payment calculations, AR and WAWF entries for shipped goods.
