About The Position

Optiom is hiring an Accounts Receivable Analyst, Broker Accounts to join our Calgary finance team. This is a hands-on, relationship-facing role at the intersection of financial operations and broker services. You will own the preparation of broker and dealer statements, reconciliations, and payments, while serving as a trusted point of contact for the external partners who matter most to our business. Your work will feed directly into month-end close, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the processes that keep Optiom's financial operations running at the standard Aviva expects.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of accounts receivable, finance operations, or broker/dealer accounting experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and reconcile high-volume financial statements with precision
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational skills: manage competing deadlines, multitask without losing accuracy, and follow through without prompting
  • A degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ERP systems such as Sage 300 is an asset
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools is an asset
  • Direct experience preparing broker, agent, or dealer commission and incentive statements
  • Background in insurance, financial services, or MGA operations
  • Experience supporting month-end close in a regulated or audit-ready environment
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements in a finance function
  • Familiarity with premium financing or specialty insurance accounting workflows
