About The Position
Heroux-Devtek, a global leader in landing gear, actuation, and hydraulic systems for the civil and military aerospace markets, is seeking an Accounts Payable Technician to join their team at their head office in Longueuil, Quebec. This role is crucial for supporting the company's financial operations and ensuring efficient processing of invoices and expense reports. Requirements
- DEP or AEC in accounting, or equivalent experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role (accounts payable/expenses).
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, Acomba).
- Knowledge of English due to communications with international suppliers, clients, auditors, and other subsidiaries.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and enter supplier invoices into the accounting system (ERP).
- Reconcile monthly supplier statements.
- Prepare bi-weekly payment batches.
- Answer supplier inquiries regarding payment status.
- Review and validate expense reports and travel invoices (hotels, flights, meals) submitted by managers and employees.
- Ensure expense compliance with the company's travel and expense policy.
- Accurately record expenses according to the appropriate cost centers.
- Manage corporate credit card accounts (transaction reconciliation).
- File and archive invoices and expense reports.
- Participate in the preparation of documentation for month-end closing and audits.
- Any other related accounting tasks.
