About The Position

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Accounts Payable Technician is responsible for performing a combination of accounting and administrative support duties involving specialized knowledge of financial records and coding, inputting, and accessing information in SCF’s accounting system. This position has three (3) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of Accounting experience OR two (2) years of clerical experience OR at least two (2) years of higher education in Accounting or Finance.
  • Thorough understanding of the cultures and needs of the Alaska Native population served by SCF.
  • Compliance with Employee Health Procedure, including agreeing to job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to the first day of employment.
  • For Health Care Personnel (HCP) positions: Documentation of completed immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, and COVID-19 vaccination) prior to the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of Accounting experience OR at least three (3) years of higher education in Accounting or Finance (for Accounts Payable Technician II).
  • An Associate degree in Accounting or Business or a related field OR equivalent training and experience (for Accounts Payable Technician III).
