About The Position

Flexfab is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our accounting team in Hastings, Michigan. The accounts payable assistant is responsible for working on-site supporting the accounting team. This role requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Minium of 1 year of experience in accounting or administrative support within accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Only U.S. persons (citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees) are eligible

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the shared AP mailbox and saving/indexing AP documents into electronic repository
  • Performing three-way match of vendor invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents within the ERP/accounting system
  • Ensuring purchase requisitions and invoices are properly coded
  • Coordinating and validating appropriate approval for invoice payments
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
  • Provide support to Accounts Payable team for preparation and processing of weekly ACH, wire, credit card and check payments
  • Other duties as assigned
