About The Position

Accounts Payable Specialist Central Southern Construction Corp. is seeking a detail oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This position will manage the day to day accounts payable functions of the company while providing administrative support to the Accounting Manager. Position Summary The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting general accounting functions, and assisting with administrative tasks within the accounting department. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast paced construction environment.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

Nice To Haves

  • Construction industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
  • Assist with employee expense reports and credit card reconciliations
  • Provide administrative support to the Accounting Manager
  • Assist with gathering documentation and reports as requested
  • Support month end closing activities
  • Communicate professionally with vendors, project managers, and internal team members
