About The Position

Genserve is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join its organization. The role is responsible for reconciling outstanding invoices, filing expense reports and purchase orders, and maintaining company expenses. The position also involves vendor management, invoice verification and payment processing, financial recordkeeping, and tracking expenses in the general ledger.

Requirements

• Knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping principles and relevant accounting software.
• Knowledge of accounts payable and maintaining general ledgers.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with invoicing and vendor management software.

Nice To Haves

• QuickBooks experience.
• Three years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors, maintain vendor profiles, and process vendor checks.
• Process invoices due for payment by verifying invoices, bills, and checks for accuracy and appropriateness before payment.
• Compare purchase orders, prices, payment terms, and other charges.
• Verify vendor invoice accuracy and confirm that the correct general ledger account codes are used.
• Maintain a filing system for financial information, files, and records.
• Track expenses in a general ledger, process expense reports, and prepare account analyses.
• Issue accounts payable checks.
