About The Position

Adams, Inc. is a family-owned company based in Elkhorn, WI, specializing in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, solar, and home backup power. We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Finance team by processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Requirements

2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
Experience in a construction, service, or project-based environment is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic to intermediate Excel skills and experience with accounting software
Ability to manage deadlines and work collaboratively with others

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper coding and approvals
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation when applicable
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies
Prepare and assist with weekly check runs and electronic payments
Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable files and records
Communicate professionally with vendors and internal teams regarding payments
Support month-end close and audit activities related to accounts payable
