About The Position

As an Accounts Payable Specialist in our downtown Los Angeles office at Psomas, you will utilize your expertise to oversee the full cycle accounts payable including processing invoices, expense reports, and credit card statements, while also providing support to accounting management as requested.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of general accounting experience
• Knowledge of full cycle accounting
• Intermediate computer literacy, including experience in word processing, spreadsheets and network files (Microsoft Suite)
• Ability to work successfully and professionally in a team environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or in business related field of study
• Knowledge and experience with Deltek Vision accounting software

Responsibilities

• Full Cycle Accounts Payable, responsible for processing invoices, expense reports and credit card statements
• Prepare weekly check run
• Maintain vendor records on all active vendors, including W-9's, ACH information and annual 1099 reconciliation and filing
• Review and post all accounts payable batches
• Create subconsultant and overhead cash requirement reports
• Audit to ensure all monthly bills have been received
• Perform data entry, filing, reconciliation and analysis, as needed
• Provide support to accounting management, as requested
