About The Position

This role provides support to the accounts payable department. Performing administrative work along with processing day-to-day invoices; ensuring documentation is complete, accurate and payments are timely while adhering to AP policies and procedures. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 months of practical experience in an office environment or 1 year of business training.
  • Able to effectively prioritize, work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be positive, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Routinely handle highly confidential information is a discreet, professional manner
  • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to identifying issues and recommend improvements
  • Maintain and apply accounts payable best practices on policies and procedures
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Financials suite of PeopleSoft applications highly desirable
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle)

Responsibilities

  • Sort, process and distribute mail, validate and prepare invoices for scanning, while indexing all required transaction data
  • Monitor and categorize email for other staff to address
  • Perform high volume invoice entry, including 2 and 3 -way PO matching, transferring e-invoice successfully in accordance with departmental volume and accuracy standards
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and escalate as needed to ensure timeliness of payments
  • Assisting with projects within the department
  • Backup to other staff and other duties as assigned
