About The Position

As a (Junior) Accounts Payable Specialist, you will support ESMC’s daily accounting operations and develop practical experience in accounts payable. You will contribute to efficient financial processes in a growing, international Finance organization and collaborate with colleagues across the business. The position is fully on-site in Dresden.

Requirements

• Completed commercial vocational training, such as Industriekaufmann/-frau, Kaufmann/-frau für Büromanagement, or Steuerfachangestellte/r, or a comparable qualification.
• Initial practical experience in accounting or finance, gained through vocational training, internships, or first professional experience.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and an interest in developing knowledge of HGB and IFRS.
• Structured, accurate, and reliable working style, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Confident use of MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Very good German and good English communication skills.
• Motivation to learn, take ownership of assigned tasks, and develop professionally in an international team.

Nice To Haves

• Initial experience with ERP systems such as SAP.

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and vendor master data maintenance.
• Review and post incoming invoices, ensuring accurate account assignments, cost center allocations, and tax information.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting activities and related documentation.
• Support month-end closing preparation and ensure accounting tasks are processed on time.
• Work with internal departments to clarify invoice discrepancies and resolve accounting-related questions.
• Follow internal accounting guidelines, financial procedures, and relevant deadlines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes as the organization grows.
