About The Position

Under the direction of the Account Payable (AP) Supervisor, the AP Specialist is responsible for processing more complex situations including vendor invoices, check requests, and employee travel and expense reports. Power Solutions International (PSI) is a leading manufacturer of emissions-certified powertrains specializing in customized and fully integrated turnkey solutions for the leading global equipment manufacturers in the industrial, transportation, and energy markets manufacturers. Our facilities are housed in one million square feet of engineering, assembly, operations, and distribution space across seven facilities. We are positioned to meet the high production volumes of our customers with added capacity for growth.

Requirements

Associate's degree in business, Accounting/Finance preferred; may substitute for the degree direct applicable work experience on a year-for-year basis which built competencies and subject matter expertise of related credit and collections
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills, and financial module of an ERP
Thorough knowledge of accounts payable and general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures
Understanding of inventory accounting
Demonstrated success in solving customer, system, and process problems related to AP
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Epicor preferred

Responsibilities

Accurately match invoices to receiving documents, post invoices into Epicor
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment
Maintains accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files
Assist with various month-end closing procedures and related supporting payable schedules
Assist with quarterly and annual audit preparation
All other duties as assigned by management
