About The Position

Internet Brands is seeking an Accounts Payable Senior Specialist for its Los Angeles-based organization. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, this role supports month-end closing and monthly accruals, helps supervise the team responsible for recording accounts payable transactions, and works across a range of tasks in a dynamic, growing company. The specialist investigates payment issues, supports vendor and internal relationships, assists with staff training and onboarding, contributes to process development, and helps ensure payments are made accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Two to three years of accounts payable or related experience, such as accounting, payroll, accounts receivable, or human resources.
• Strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, including Word.
• Be self-starting and detail-oriented.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Be able to work independently and multitask.
• Have good organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

• A BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (GP) and/or NetSuite.
• Experience with travel and expense (T&E) processing and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end closing, including running and calculating monthly accruals.
• Use Concur, the company's accounts payable software.
• Help supervise a team responsible for recording accounts payable transactions.
• Investigate accounts payable issues and recommend possible solutions to the Accounts Payable Manager.
• Build relationships with vendors and other departments.
• Assist with training and onboarding new accounts payable staff.
• Help the Accounts Payable Manager with annual reviews, performance reviews, and other ad hoc tasks.
• Ensure payments are made accurately and on time.
• Help develop accounts payable processes and procedures.
