About The Position

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Payable / Office Assistant to support daily administrative and accounting functions. This role will provide essential coverage during a maternity leave and includes a mix of front office responsibilities and light bookkeeping. This position will start Part Time (3 Full days per week) then transition to Full-time. Anticipated start date - Late June, Early July. Duration: 3 months+.

Requirements

  • Prior administrative or office support experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounts payable or bookkeeping is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable handling multiple tasks and priorities
  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Willingness to learn new systems (training provided on Harris accounting software)

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Provide general office and administrative support
  • Process accounts payable tasks, including invoice handling
  • Perform light bookkeeping duties (training provided)
  • Write and process checks
  • Generate and manage purchase orders (POs)
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail
