We are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join Brookfield Properties in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will play a key role in inspiring change and continual improvement. The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for supporting the finance department by managing and processing records, ensuring timely payments to vendors. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of accounts payable, data entry, or general accounting experience
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Yardi experience

Responsibilities

  • Submit new vendors and projects in our accounting ERP system, Yardi
  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices in a timely manner
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation
