About The Position

The Accounts Payable Intern seasonal position will provide essential support to the Accounts Payable department, assisting with a variety of tasks including processing purchase orders, Invoices, vendor statement reconciliations and grower tag verifications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in basic accounting processes. As a supporting function to the accounting team, they will gain skills and knowledge that will help them develop further in their careers.

Requirements

Experience working with Outlook
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other office software.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and integrity.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot discrepancies.

Nice To Haves

ERP- NAV or basic central (BC) experience helpful

Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable, and vendor statement reconciliation
Knowledge of 3 way match on Po's
Organize department paperwork, file, and assemble necessary documents.
Prepare invoices and perform data entry of purchases into the ERP system.
Get approvals from various management via outlook emails.
Reconcile vendor statements and communicate with vendors as needed.
Update and improve various Excel spreadsheets and templates used by the department.
Assist Grower Accounting with matching weight master's and sending out daily grades to growers
Help with month end close process.
Open, sort, and stamp incoming mail.
Mail out checks and ensure all supporting documentation is attached.
Purge records from previous year.
Participate actively in Wawona Frozen Foods' safety program to maintain a healthy, injury-free environment.
Compliance with all GMP, HAACP, Food Safety, Food Defense, and SQF policies and procedures. Empowered to notify and/or act in response to any issues or concerns within the scope of work.
