About The Position

This opportunity is in the Accounting & Finance Department. Our Accounting & Finance Department is dynamic and collaborative. Providing best-in-class service to our internal and external customers within the expected timeframes, we actively support our co-workers, clients, and community. As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of Safety National. You'll process accounts payable transactions across multiple companies, prepare quarterly and annual statement filings, assist with 1099 reporting, and support a variety of accounting and administrative functions. In this fast-paced environment, you'll collaborate with teammates across the organization while managing multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail. Please note, this position is classified as Non-Exempt under federal wage and hour laws. As such, you will be required to clock in and out for all hours worked and will be eligible for overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a given workweek.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Dependable, organized, self-motivated, and accountable with a professional attitude.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong data entry and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with accounts payable processing.
  • Experience working with PeopleSoft or similar enterprise financial systems.
  • Experience preparing 1099 reporting and supporting quarterly and annual financial statement filings.
  • Experience processing wire transfers, ACH payments, and payment vouchers.
  • Experience supporting accounting reconciliations and administrative projects within a finance environment.
