About The Position

The Accounts Payable Clerk will provide accurate, timely, and accessible financial information. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well in a group setting.

Requirements

  • Prior A/P experience preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Microsoft applications, including but not limited to: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Requires frequent performance of repetitive motions with hands and/or arms
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • A problem solver and a team player

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support related to payroll, accounts payable, receiving, data entry, filing, and record maintenance.
  • Assist with month-end close activities and support the accuracy and timely completion of financial processes.
  • Reconcile high-volume accounts payable by vendors on a weekly basis, research discrepancies, and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • Create invoices for nonprofit groups and subcontractors, while maintaining effective communication with vendors and external partners.
  • Assist with the event payroll process as well as conduct reconciliation and present reviews with reporting manager to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Compile, review, and maintain financial records and reports to support business operations and decision-making.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments, vendors, clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Greet visitors and employees as they enter our office space.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Participate in planning meetings, contribute recommendations for process improvements, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and leadership at all levels through strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain flexibility to work extended hours as needed to support operational and financial deadlines.
