This position will be on-site at our brand-new Volvo dealership, located in the Bayers Lake Business Park, providing you with the opportunity to work in a modern and state-of-the-art facility! This will be a 12 month term. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, this role offers a unique opportunity to develop specialized accounting skills within the automotive industry. Your ability to manage time efficiently and maintain exceptional accuracy will be key to success.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in accounting.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with computerized accounting systems is an asset.
• Familiarity with automated accounts payable software, particularly “YOOZ,” is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive and code vendor invoices.
• Coordinate invoice approvals with department managers and address any related queries.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice or statement discrepancies.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding cheques.
• Reconcile vendor statements and related party payables.
• Prepare outgoing cheques/EFTs for approval and submission.
