About The Position

BRT, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions while supporting the integrity of the company’s financial reporting and internal controls. This is a full-time, hourly position reporting to the Accounting Manager and offers a hybrid work schedule after the successful completion of the probationary period.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and banking procedures
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a finance team
  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of related accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems

Responsibilities

  • Process and post vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare and process payments while monitoring cash balances
  • Administer company purchase credit card accounts
  • Process employee expense reimbursements
  • Maintain organized accounts payable records and documentation
  • Post customer payments and apply credits when needed
  • Monitor and review aging reports
  • Process daily deposits using express deposit functions
  • Provide deposit and disbursement details to cash management personnel
  • Coordinate cash deposits, ACH transfers, and disbursements
  • Manage and reconcile the petty cash drawer monthly
  • Perform quarterly loan statement reconciliations
  • Coordinate and record loan payment processing
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with general ledger close processes
  • Maintain financial and equipment documentation
  • Provide administrative and cross-functional support within the finance department
  • Support additional financial duties as assigned by leadership
