About The Position
The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. (RFMH) has an immediate full-time opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk at our Nathan Kline Institute location in Orangeburg, New York.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years' experience performing account payable duties or an associate's degree in accounting
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products
- A self-starter who will initiate and independently follow-through with assignments
- Strong organizational skills
- Maintain confidentiality of work materials
- Detail oriented
- Dependable
- Team player
- Background Investigation/Justice Center Review Requirements: Prospective appointees will be: 1) Checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. Prospective employees whose names appear on the SEL as having been found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment. 2) Screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR). Prospective employees whose names are indicated on the SCR may be barred from appointment.

Responsibilities

- Process and review all RFMH Purchase Orders for payment
- Maintain inventory records
- Manage petty cash accounts
- Other accounts payable duties as assigned
