About The Position

The Analyst is part of the Financial Controller team within the Finance function and reports to the Director of Corporate Accounting. The role supports ongoing accounting and financial reporting for ATLAS SP and managed funds, with responsibility for accurate execution of core day-to-day accounting activities, process and reporting improvements, and problem-solving. The firm seeks a versatile professional who is interested in learning and developing their career.

Requirements

College degree with a competitive GPA and demonstrated mathematical or analytical ability.
1–3 years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, including the ability to synthesize information and see the big picture.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

CPA preferred.
Public accounting experience preferred.
Previous hedge fund, private equity-style, or financial services experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger analysis, with a focus on Accounts Payable, bank reconciliations, expense accruals, and payroll.
Perform analytical reviews across ATLAS legal entity structures and create reporting documentation to support the CAO’s control review of the month-end close process.
Support preparation of monthly detailed management reporting.
Facilitate quarterly financial statements, support the annual audit, and provide information for US and foreign tax filings.
Support ongoing system implementation, strategic enhancements, and process improvements for the function.
Address ad hoc requests as needed.
