About The Position

The Lee County Clerk of Court & Comptroller’s Office is seeking an Accounts Payable Advanced Clerk to support essential financial operations for the Lee County Board of County Commissioners, Lee County Port Authority, and the Lee County Clerk of Courts. This experienced-level role is perfect for someone who enjoys accuracy, consistency, and contributing to smooth financial operations across multiple agencies. As an Accounts Payable Advanced Clerk, you’ll play a key role in Accounts Payable operations, supporting either system/operational functions or processing responsibilities depending on business needs.

Requirements

• Accurate keyboarding and data-entry skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to learn Clerk-wide systems during the training period
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Six (6) years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Run integrity and pre-processing invoice reports
• Verify vendor banking information and updates
• Enter basic-level vendor invoices into the financial system
• Process vendor invoices
• Perform pre-audit functions
• Enter data into the financial system
• Verify invoices and research basic check voids or stop-payment requests
• Distribute vendor checks for County, Port, Court, and Clerk
