About The Position

Lake Trucking Company, established in 1961 and the largest refrigerated carrier of fresh seafood from Florida, is seeking an Accounts Receivable/Collection Specialist to join its Accounting Department in Leesburg, Florida. The company, known as the “Can Do Company,” prioritizes customer success and continuous improvement through technology and a strong support team. As a family-run, on-site company, Lake Trucking and its sister company, Stokes Fish Company, have experienced significant growth and are looking for a motivated individual to contribute to their continued success.

Requirements

Minimum of 4-6 years of accounts payable experience required
Must have a strong background in collections
Must have QuickBooks experience
Microsoft Office knowledge
Strong problem-solving skills
Be attentive to the details, as our attention to detail separates us from our competition
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and with a team
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Be able to overcome challenges while staying positive, friendly, and helpful
Be a high school or college graduate, and willing to learn

Responsibilities

Setting up new vendors
Reconciling monthly receivables
Tracking and researching outstanding claims
Collections on outstanding invoices
Processing timely vendor payable check runs
Collect outstanding receivables
Customers account reconciliation
Obtain and track credit memos to ensure they are correct and processed in a timely manner.
Track and research outstanding claims
Process on-time payments to our vendors
Perform other duties as assigned
Balance 1099’s
