Requirements

  • Knowledge/Experience of specific programs and/or operations.
  • Knowledge/Experience of technical/system aspects of the position.
  • Knowledge/Experience of procedures/processes of the position.
  • Knowledge/Experience of program development/planning/implementation.
  • Knowledge/Experience of systems/programs/computer software.
  • Knowledge/Experience interpretation and application of federal, state laws/regulations.
  • Experience in meeting critical deadlines, handling multiple assignments and working independently to ensure timeliness and quality of completed assignments.
  • Experience with written communication internal/external stakeholders.

  • Experience working with Commonwealth of Virginia issued credit cards.
  • Experience working with Bank of America (SPCC) card Online Reconciliation Process.
  • Experience working with FAS/MMIS, Cardinal and Oracle Financials accounting system.
  • Experienced in Commonwealth of Virginia travel reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Commonwealth of Virginia financial payment systems or similar to process a high volume of expenditures exceeding $400 million in annual expenditures in full compliance with state and federal policies.
  • Manage the agency’s invoice workflow system and compile, analyze, and prepare statistical and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct financial reconciliations and perform audits and reviews to ensure adherence to Department of Accounts (DOA) requirements.
  • Deliver professional customer service timely and collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure compliance with the Prompt Payment Act.
  • Manage and reconcile purchase card activities using the Bank of America Online Reconciliation system in accordance with state policy and procedures.
