About The Position

The Accounting Specialist provides day-to-day support for Phase 3’s Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including customer billing, transaction processing, expense reconciliation, and financial recordkeeping. The role works with the accounting team, vendors, and internal staff to maintain accurate records and resolve account discrepancies. The position is open to U.S.-based applicants and is fully on-site in Phase 3’s Atlanta, Georgia office.

Requirements

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or comparable work experience.
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with vendors and colleagues across departments.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Sage 100 accounting software.

Responsibilities

Perform daily billing for assigned customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Process and reconcile credit card transactions.
Reconcile customer account statements, research discrepancies, and make necessary corrections.
Process daily sales orders and update related receivables records.
Respond to billing and account inquiries from customers and internal teams.
Receive, review, and verify company expenses and supporting documentation.
Reconcile expense records and related financial reports, researching and resolving discrepancies.
Communicate with vendors and internal staff to respond to inquiries and resolve account issues.
Assist purchasing with establishing and maintaining vendor records for purchase order processing.
Provide additional accounting support and perform other duties as assigned.
