About The Position

The Adler Planetarium is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team on Chicago's Museum Campus. The Accounting Specialist provides a variety of financial and accounting support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and employee expense reports.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree
• Three or more years of professional experience
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Forms, and Docs)
• Proficiency in computerized A/P and payroll systems
• Detail-oriented with analytical skills

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Five or more years of professional experience
• Experience with Sage Intacct accounting system
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll system
• Experience with Ramp bill pay and credit card expenses platform

Responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of the accounts payable process
• Processing payroll on a predetermined schedule
• Recording accounts receivable invoices and other miscellaneous cash receipts
• Overseeing employee expenses, including corporate credit cards and employee reimbursements
• Supporting Accounting/Financial Management monthly and year-end tasks and special projects
