About The Position

The Accounting Specialist / Bookkeeper owns the accounting functions for a three-location, multi-entity Generac home standby generator dealer in South Texas. This hands-on, player-coach role personally closes the books each month, maintains accurate general ledgers across the operating entities and parent company, and produces reliable reporting for the Owner, lenders, and outside CPA. The company operates installation and service crews in three markets and carries substantial floor-plan-financed generator inventory. The role will help bring the books to an audit-ready standard, complete cleanup following the 2025 QuickBooks migration, and establish consistent monthly accounting processes. The position owns monthly close and reporting, inventory and floor-plan accounting, payroll accounting, intercompany reconciliations and consolidations, cash forecasting, lender reporting, tax and compliance filings, historical cleanup, budgeting and analysis, internal controls, and process documentation. It works closely with the Owner, office staff, sales, operations, outside advisors, and automation and reporting resources. The role is office-based in Corpus Christi, with regular travel to the Victoria and Valley locations. Extended hours may be needed during close periods, year-end, lender deadlines, and storm-driven demand surges.
