About The Position

Callow & Associates is a Microsoft Dynamics consultancy based in Calgary, Alberta, specializing in improving business processes for clients by delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Accounting software/ERP solutions, along with complementary reporting, budgeting, and analytics tools. This Business Development Representative (BDR) role is a high-growth, career-track position designed for individuals aspiring to build deep expertise in Accounting Software/ERP sales and eventually assume full responsibility for the Business Development function. The BDR will work directly under the President, receiving hands-on mentorship and progressively increasing responsibility, gaining exposure to the full Business Central sales lifecycle from prospecting to client relationship development. The role is structured as a development path, with the long-term objective of the BDR taking on full responsibility for lead generation, opportunity management, and client relationships.

Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in Business Development or Accounting
  • University degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Interest in accounting software, ERP systems, and professional services
  • Comfort speaking with business owners, CFOs, Controllers, and senior management
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Strong aptitude for learning complex business concepts
  • Professional, confident, and client-focused demeanor
  • Excellent time management and follow-through
  • Motivation to grow into a senior role over time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in or understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics GP
  • Experience in or understanding of Solver or ReQlogic
  • Working with or around consulting firms

Responsibilities

  • Supporting business development activities for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Prospecting and qualifying new leads through outbound and inbound channels
  • Participating in discovery calls and requirements-gathering conversations
  • Assisting with the preparation of presentations, sales materials, estimates, and proposals
  • Learning Business Central positioning, common use cases, and target industries
  • Collaborating with consultants to align solutions with client needs
  • Tracking opportunities and activities in CRM
  • Gradually taking on increased ownership of opportunities and sales initiatives
