About The Position

CLA is seeking a Senior to join its Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) group supporting the Retail industry, based out of the Green Bay, Wisconsin office. The role provides accounting and advisory support to multiple clients and includes transaction processing, month-end close, quarterly and annual tasks, workflow oversight, and special projects. The position requires at least two years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience and a bachelor’s degree, though related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of the degree.

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of each client’s business and organizational operations.
Manage multiple clients, software, and charts of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Lead coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll transaction posting and recording.
Coordinate and review account reconciliations, including prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals.
Complete complex account reconciliations, including investments, debt, and industry-specific accounts.
Prepare, understand, and review basic-to-complex financial statements.
Review the general ledger, cash flow, allocations, and related items.
Create process and procedure documentation and establish backup coverage.
Complete sales tax returns and Form 1099s, and prepare audit workpapers, tax return workpapers, and other items requested by clients.
Oversee workflow and supervise Associates and Analysts to ensure efficiency and quality of work.
Assist with internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects.
