About The Position

CLA is seeking an Accounting Associate to join its CAAS (Client Accounting and Advisory Services) Retail Industry team, based out of the Boise, Idaho office. The role provides client accounting support across daily transactions, month-end close, and quarterly and annual processing. CLA is a national professional services firm that provides wealth advisory, digital, audit, tax, consulting, and outsourcing services and emphasizes an inclusive culture and supporting its clients, people, and communities.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required; a combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

• Accounting and financial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple clients, software systems, and charts of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Coordinate and process accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
• Complete financial statements as part of month-end processing.
• Coordinate and complete account reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals.
• Complete complex account reconciliations previously set up and supported by a Senior Associate, Assistant Controller, Controller, or CFO.
• Complete sales tax returns, Form 1099s, and other forms or items requested by clients during quarterly and annual processing.
