About The Position

CLA is seeking an Accounting Senior to join its Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) group supporting the Retail industry, based out of the Green Bay, Wisconsin office. The role serves multiple clients and includes coordinating accounting operations, preparing and reviewing reconciliations and financial statements, overseeing the quality and workflow of Associates and Analysts, and assisting with special consulting projects. Requirements

At least 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience.
Bachelor’s degree; a combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of each client’s business and organizational operations, and manage multiple clients, software, and charts of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Lead coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll transaction posting and recording.
Coordinate and review account reconciliations, including prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals.
Complete complex account reconciliations, including investments, debt, and industry-specific accounts.
Prepare, understand, and review basic to complex financial statements; review general ledger, cash flow, and allocations.
Proactively create process and procedure documentation and develop backup for assigned work.
Complete sales tax returns and Form 1099s, and prepare audit workpapers, tax return workpapers, and other forms or items requested by clients as part of quarterly or annual processing.
Oversee workflow and the efficiency and quality of work produced by Associates and Analysts.
Assist with internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects.
