This role involves collaborating with Business Office/Practice managers on daily financial maintenance, including accurate deposits and bank balances. The specialist will be responsible for balancing checkbooks, initiating bank transfers, reconciling various financial statements (P&L, cash flow, bank statements), and formulating monthly financial statements. A key part of the role includes performing accounts payable functions, processing vendor invoices, and managing patient and third-party receivables. The position also supports month-end and year-end closing activities, assists with annual budgeting, and prepares internal financial reports. Additionally, the specialist will handle physician payroll and bonus calculations, review payroll reports for accuracy, and assist with benefit deductions and PTO tracking. Collaboration with HR and external payroll providers is expected, along with performing payroll duties such as tax deposits and insurance payments. The role requires pulling and reconciling data from medical software systems, generating reports on physician productivity and clinic performance, and maintaining organized financial records in compliance with regulations. Support for annual audits and tax filings, ensuring adherence to GAAP, and assisting with additional assigned duties are also part of the responsibilities.
