About The Position

We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team in Franklin, TN. In this role, you will manage the reporting of consolidated financial results and information for Nissan companies in North America. You will interact with financial reporting departments of affiliates regarding consolidated reporting issues to assure understanding of reporting requirements. You will also contribute to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of related experience at a professional level plus a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Two or more years as a manager, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and training and contributing to staff development.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting framework approaches Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Accounting Standards (IAS/IFRS), and financial reporting processes.
  • CPA is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, manages, and coordinates preparation of consolidated quarterly and annual audited financial statements for multiple companies and consolidating groups.
  • Reviews consolidated balance sheet, profit and loss statement, footnote disclosures and consolidated cash flow statements.
  • Reviews completed consolidated balance sheet and profit and loss statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assists in the research, adoption, and documentation of new accounting standards.
  • Advises other business units on accounting treatments and implications for significant and unusual transactions.
  • Coordinates preparation and review of government reports prior to submission to appropriate regulators.
  • Develops procedures and guidelines to assist staff in performance of consolidation process.
  • Interacts with external auditors in preparation of financial statements.
  • Supervises and leads staff by providing coaching, guidance, training, and development; interviews and selects employees; and plans and evaluates employee performance.
  • Manages employee relations and oversight, including counseling and discipline when necessary, recommending termination when appropriate, and monitoring time and attendance.
