About The Position

Pinnacle Environmental Management Support is an independent firm with 30 years of experience that provide support to our clients in the energy sector around the disciplines of administrative, data, finance, compliance, property research and claims management. This position is an in-office position located in Greensboro, NC. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and directing the accounting activities of the department.

Requirements

  • Expert QuickBooks knowledge, with 3 years of experience, and with skill in integration with outside HRIS/Payroll Software.
  • Knowledge of a variety of financial, accounting, and tax preparation computer software applications and ability to learn proprietary in-house systems and client relationship management systems
  • MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access with emphasis on strong Excel skills).
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or other related degree required.
  • Five years or more accounting management experience is required.
  • Experience with review of client contracts, competitive market analysis for services provided by vendors, and vendor negotiations
  • Experience AP/AR management.
  • Experience working in Professional services organization and billable labor hours and job costing.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HRIS, HCM, payroll software, Paycom preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the accounting department’s daily workflow, ensuring the accuracy of accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
  • Analyze, prepare, and process bi-weekly payroll and review employee timecards to ensure accuracy and compliance with all wage and hour laws.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with state, federal, and financial reporting standards.
  • Direct tax planning and preparation throughout the fiscal year, partner with CPA for annual corporate tax returns, and provide financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership.
