About The Position

The Accounting Manager role is responsible for overseeing the financial integrity and human resources operations of the organization. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory requirements while simultaneously providing basic HR support including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations. The successful candidate will drive strategic initiatives that align financial management with workforce planning to support organizational growth and stability. They will serve as a key advisor to senior management on both fiscal and human capital matters, fostering a collaborative and compliant workplace culture. Ultimately, this position is critical in balancing the company’s financial health with its talent management needs to achieve long-term success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in accounting/finance and human resources management.
  • Experience managing multiple entities a plus
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial regulations, and labor laws applicable in the United States.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and HR information systems (HRIS).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting for 2 growing businesses to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Own month end close and produce P&L, balance sheet, cash flow reports and other reports as needed.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Daily bank reconciliation, deposit processing, credit card postings, and backup payment processing support
  • Process bi-weekly payroll using our payroll platform
  • Employee onboarding, benefits enrollment, compliance documentation, and general employee-related process support
  • Quarterly tax filings and insurance renewals
  • Maintain HR systems and employee records, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies
  • Coordinate with external accounting firms and provide financial data and documentation as requested
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, time off requests, and HR policies
  • Support human resources activities including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Serve as a liaison between management and employees to address workplace issues and support organizational objectives.
