Accounting Lead / Comptable principal(e)
About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Lead to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with the preparation of financial reports, and other finance related administrative tasks. Nous recherchons un(e) Comptable principal(e) rigoureux(se) et motivé pour rejoindre notre équipe financière. Requirements
- Experience in bookkeeping and record keeping in an ERP
- Understanding of trial balances, general ledger and financial statement closing processes
- Backend experience, including database design and management
- 5 years' experience in accounting-related functions
- Fully bilingual in French and professional/business English, because this job requires interaction with suppliers and government agencies in both languages
Nice To Haves
- Netsuite user and previous implementation of close management software like Numeric, Floqast, etc.
- Powersports, Automotive industry or complex manufacturing accounting practices
Responsibilities
- Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function and supervise the Accounting Coordinator
- Maintain, monitor and reconcile GL accounts, including but not limited to cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable and accrued liabilities
- Identify problems and errors, investigate discrepancies and collaborate with the Controller
- Prepare and maintain government remittances/deposits, expenses, and payroll transactions
- Prepare payments to suppliers for approval
- Perform month-end and quarter-end closing process
- Work with accounting software and provide support to other departments
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
- Other related tasks
