About The Position

The Accounting Intern - Shared Services role provides support to the Shared Services function (AP/AR) by analyzing customer and vendor accounts. The intern will perform analysis on these accounts to determine financial opportunities or risks through standard reporting. This role will also assist with ad-hoc projects, ranging from financial analysis to regulatory compliance projects, and will contribute to the monthly closing process by booking required journal entries.

Requirements

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with an understanding of business priorities.
• Confidence and competence.
• Diplomatic, professional, and exercising great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent relationships within the business.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements and provide analysis on variances to forecast or budget.
• Distribute and communicate financial results to business leaders specific to TWC performance.
