About The Position
The Accounting Generalist will perform routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks for accounting data including accounts payable, billing, and receivables. This position is a temporary to permanent.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a similar field. Bachelor's degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted.
- Bookkeeping training preferred
- Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems
- Basic mathematical skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Responsibilities
- Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
- Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
- Support duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Assist with the preparation of financial and statistical statements and reports.
- Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies.
- Assist the Accounting Department staff as needed.
