About The Position

We are a leading powersports dealership with over 100 employees across four locations in Utah. We are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and supporting our teams with a dynamic and positive work environment. We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to carry out HR and payroll operations and assist with administrative accounting tasks. The HR Generalist will oversee day-to-day HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and payroll processing. The role will also include light administrative accounting responsibilities, making this a unique opportunity for an HR professional looking to broaden their skill set. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion. We are looking for someone who is willing to sit down with each employee annually and answer benefits questions ensuring that they choose the best coverages for their needs.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a related HR role.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with ADP, BambooHR and accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work full-time, on-site in St. George, UT (Preferred) or Draper, UT (for the right candidate).
  • Occasional travel between locations may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting jobs, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Assist managers with employee performance evaluations and development plans.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Maintain employee records and manage HR documentation (offer letters, employment agreements, etc.).
  • Coordinate and support payroll processing, including timecard review and payroll entries.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, such as team-building activities and recognition programs.
  • Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), and leave management.
  • Be the employee benefits champion - meeting regularly with each employee to find ways to impart a better understanding of their current benefits and strategize ways to promote cost savings.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Handle sensitive employee data with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Assist with data entry and reconciliation for accounts payable and receivable.
  • Support month-end close activities as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining and organizing financial documents and records.
