About The Position

Evermore Orlando Resort is redefining the Orlando vacation experience with a unique blend of spacious, upscale vacation homes, flats, villas, and a luxurious hotel. This expansive and technically complex property spans 1,100 acres and integrates resort-owned vacation rental homes, large-scale water features, and extensive recreational infrastructure. The Accounting Generalist, specializing in Payroll, will play a key role in managing payroll processes within this dynamic environment. The resort demands sophisticated oversight to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability across all systems, and this role contributes to the financial operations supporting these efforts. The team is energetic, and the resort is looking for individuals excited to help guests reimagine their Orlando vacation.

Requirements

  • Prior professional experience in an accounting environment required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in accounting and payroll software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Proficient in standard computer programs and work order system.
  • Able to read and understand financials and budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  • Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Capable of performing the role in a busy work environment.
  • Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines.
  • Must stay current with resort operations and accounting trends.

Responsibilities

  • Review and distribute missed punch and unapproved time off reports.
  • Verify direct deposit setup and employee updates.
  • Prepare earnings upload spreadsheet and import data.
  • Review and validate PTO usage.
  • Collect and begin input of tip/service charge data.
  • Validate time and approvals.
  • Resolve outstanding payroll items.
  • Prepare and upload HSA, FSA, and 401K Contributions.
  • Complete payroll Journal Entries.
  • Balance the Cash Recycler daily.
  • Complete ACH Verifications for vendors wishing to set up payments electronically.
  • Processing business charges.
  • Cross-trained and provides support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable during peak times.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with staff, management, and guests.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all things in accounting, including, but not limited to all payroll and financial information.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Practice excellent telephone etiquette (smile in voice) at all times. Be alert, courteous and helpful to guests.
  • The ability to work various shifts or days of the week according to business needs.
  • Be familiar with all property amenities and restaurants.
  • Respond to any reasonable task assigned by the Director or Asst. Director of Accounting.
  • Attend and conduct meetings as required both within the department and with other operation departments.
  • Team Player and respectful to others.
  • Support other departments whenever possible through direct and indirect support.
