The company seeks an organized, detail-oriented, and self-starting professional to join its dynamic and growing global accounting team as an Accounting Coordinator.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative or accounting support role preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word; Proficient: Excel).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proactive approach to managing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, proofreading, and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Drive to learn and implement new systems including accounting software, data management and other systems.
  • Ability to work standard work hours of Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional extended hours during quarter-end and year-end financial periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree is a plus.
  • SharePoint knowledge for managing and maintaining department online resources.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat for document creation and editing preferred.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or similar accounting/ERP software.
  • Familiarity with DocuSign for electronic approvals.
  • Experience with corporate travel booking systems.
  • Candidate demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and IA tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed.
  • Exercises sound judgement, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Strategic Accounting Leadership Team (SALT).
  • Supports the Accounting Executive Assistant.
  • Supports the LEAD TEAM—a group positioned just below strategic accounting leadership—by assisting with ongoing initiatives and events.
  • Supports the accounting department, which currently includes 130+ people (in Denver) and 300+ people (globally).
  • Schedule and organize meetings, conference calls, and appointments to include site reservations, catering arrangements, and attendance tracking.
  • Attend and take meeting minutes as needed, ensuring summary reports are documented and distributed.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute correspondence and presentations for internal audiences.
  • Process and track expense reports and credit card reconciliations for assigned staff.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and ground transportation.
  • Participate in and support one or more committees focused on communication, recognition, collaboration, and engagement.
  • Manage DocuSign workflow for document approvals and signatures.
  • Maintain, update and assist with the internal accounting SharePoint sites.
  • Support accounting staff with administrative tasks such as scanning, printing, copying, binding and mailing.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team during month-end and year-end close processes, which may require early morning arrival and extended days, on a limited basis as needed.
  • Facilitate interactions with vendors and Accounts Payable to coordinate payments.
  • Participate in our Denver Support Staff team and provide support as needed based on availability and workload.
  • Play a key role in planning and executing the bi-annual accounting retreat, including coordinating logistics, managing event relationships, and overseeing event details along with our retreat planning committee.
  • Assist with event coordination for internal team activities, volunteer events, and other company-sponsored functions organized by the Accounting Team and the Denver Activities Committee.
  • Potential for joining the Denver Activities Committee as a contributing member and liaison to the Accounting Department.
  • Other duties as assigned to support operational efficiency.
