About The Position

Johnson Gage is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Accounting role to support our finance and human resources functions. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys working independently, improving administrative processes, and contributing to operational efficiency. The successful candidate will play a key role in accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor management, payroll system administration, state tax reporting, and employee onboarding/offboarding activities.

Requirements

  • Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting administration.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and digitization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with HR administrative functions, including onboarding and offboarding employees is a plus.
  • Experience with ADP or similar payroll/HR systems is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Visual ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process Accounts Payable (AP) invoices accurately and timely.
  • Evaluate, streamline, and digitize Accounts Payable processes to improve efficiency and record management.
  • Process Accounts Receivable (AR) invoices as needed (approximately once per week for coverage purposes).
  • Maintain and update vendor records, ensuring information is accurate and properly digitized.
  • Learn and utilize the company's ADP payroll and HR platform.
  • Assist with quarterly state tax reporting in nexus states where the company has a physical sales presence.
  • Work within the company's ERP system, Visual experience is a plus but can be trained.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Support benefit administration activities as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
