About The Position

Maze is seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Accounting Contractor to support various finance and accounting functions on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on role for an individual with broad accounting knowledge who can work across different tasks and contribute to a fast-moving team. The role requires flexibility and a willingness to assist with ad hoc tasks as they arise. This position is open exclusively to candidates based in the United States or Canada in the Eastern or Central Timezones.

Requirements

4-6 years of hands-on experience across AR, AP, commissions, and FP&A
Experience with Xero, Rillet, or similar accounting platforms
Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and new projects surface regularly
A team-player mindset and strong communication skills across functions
A track record of managing workstreams independently and delivering reliably

Responsibilities

Help with accounts receivable and collections, including dunning process management
Support accounts payable and credit card reconciliation
Support month end including FP&A work (reporting and financial analysis)
Run month-end commissions processing with accuracy and on short time-table
Support audit preparation and execution
Step into ad hoc tasks/projects as they arise, this role requires flexibility and a willingness to lean in where needed
