About The Position

The accounting clerk position is responsible for providing administrative support to staff. The main responsibility will be accounts receivable, scanning and maintaining an organized filing system, and creating and closing work tickets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel a must.
  • Accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data at the required speed
  • Knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Proven experience of providing administrative support

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with accounts receivable a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Organize documents and scan them to the designated locations.
  • Answer incoming calls and transfer to correct person or department.
  • Answer the door and check in visitors.
  • Collect mail from mailbox, sort and distribute the mail.
  • Perform Accounts Receivable functions including deposits, collections and responding to customer requests for additional information or invoice copies.
  • Dispute incorrect freight charges with carriers.
  • Create and close Work tickets.
  • Print labels and instructions for stock orders placed by a customer.
  • Cross Train on order entry and logistics.
  • Undertake other ad hoc assignments as required.
