About The Position
Jeff Wyler Automotive Family is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and motivated Accounting Support Specialist to join our Corporate Accounting team in Milford, Ohio. This position plays a vital role in supporting accounting operations across multiple dealership locations by ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with company policies and accounting standards. Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration experience preferred.
- Automotive accounting experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with daily cash balancing, deposits, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Review financial records for accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Assist dealership personnel with accounting questions and issue resolution.
- Process vendor payments and maintain vendor records.
- Prepare account reconciliations and audit schedules.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper financial records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits as needed.
- Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with accounting leadership to improve efficiency and maintain best practices.
