About The Position

Fleet Response is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting team at our corporate office in Hudson, Ohio. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on accounting experience while supporting the day-to-day administrative functions of a fast-paced Accounting Department. This is a part-time position scheduled for approximately 24 hours per week, Tuesday through Thursday.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Some college coursework in accounting or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Computer and 10-key experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work the established part-time schedule of approximately 24 hours per week.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling financial and business information.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework toward a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous administrative, clerical, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience.
  • Exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, or other general accounting functions.
  • Experience working with accounting spreadsheets or financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Complete weekly check runs accurately and timely.
  • Research returned checks and assist with resolving related issues.
  • Research and respond to client and vendor inquiries within established service expectations, generally within 24 hours.
  • Provide administrative support to the Accounting Department as needed.
  • Assist Accounting team members with projects and other departmental initiatives.
  • Develop positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Provide professional and responsive customer service and support.
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other general accounting functions as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Handle financial and business information with an appropriate level of confidentiality.
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
