About The Position

HHM Talent is assisting a Miami area automotive group in hiring an experienced Accounting Clerk to support daily dealership accounting operations. This position will assist with billing, title processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and related dealership accounting subprocesses. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of accounting clerk experience, preferably within an automotive dealership environment. Experience with DealerTrack DMS is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting clerk experience
  • Experience with billing, title processing, AP, AR, payroll support, and general accounting functions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive dealership accounting experience strongly preferred
  • DealerTrack DMS experience preferred
  • Luxury or used car dealership experience
  • Prior experience supporting an Office Manager or Controller
  • Familiarity with dealership accounting schedules, deal jackets, title documentation, and month-end processes

Responsibilities

  • Assist with vehicle billing and deal processing
  • Support the title and registration process, including tracking title documents, identifying missing items, and helping resolve discrepancies
  • Process accounts payable invoices, vendor statements, and payments
  • Assist with accounts receivable, customer payments, schedules, and follow-up
  • Support payroll processing and related documentation
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, files, and supporting documentation
  • Reconcile schedules and assist with month-end accounting tasks
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Support daily accounting office functions and dealership accounting subprocesses
  • Assist the Office Manager with special projects and administrative accounting needs as assigned
